Here are some pictures of Emmet at the Timeless Instruments Guitar Building Course.

Day 2: We had the necks glued up and were taper planning the surface and thicknessing the head stock. Then on that day we also glued on the headstock veneer.

Day 3: Cut the slots for the sides in a Spanish heel and started shaping the heel. We had the top rosette cut, the top thicknessed and started bracing. One person decided they needed a veneer on the back of the head . This got bent to come unto the neck when it gets shaped.

Day 4: Saw machine holes being drilled after the head was shaped.

Day 5: We were scalloping and shaping braces. We started on the back thicknessing, here Emmet is displaying his scraping technique.

Day 6: Here Emmet has glued his first back brace in the go stick shelf. Here Darren Forbes is placing go sticks on his back braces, Kyle Weimen  is in the back ground. Here Emmet is shaping his back braces. The sides in the foreground are prebent for this course. Kyle Weimen is left while Bob Mackie is working on his neck.

Day 8: Spring time !!! in Canada. Kyle Weimen cutting his butt block. Darren Forbes gluing in kerfing and Emmet McCusker marking sides.

Day 9: Marking the side for fitting the back.

Day 10: The back is glued on then the binding channels are cut.

Day 11: Extending the channel on the top to fit the purfling. After the binding is on, it gets scraped level.

Day 12: Started fingerboards and glued them on. Then we scraped the binding and fitted heel caps, to be ready for neck shaping.

Day 13: Began building bridges, then  radiused and inlaid the fingerboards.

Day 14: Fretted the fingerboard. Here Emmet McCusker deftly puts one in over the soundboard. We shaped the necks so we could fret.

Day 15: Applied 3 coats of Lacquer in the morning and glued bridges in the afternoon. Here Bob Mackie checks out the final coat.

Day 16: Making nuts & saddles to string up! Here Bob Mackie works a bone nut on the 80 grit.

Day 17: Darren Forbes and Emmet McCusker had their guitars set up and done. Here they sit back and enjoy a good play on their new instruments.
