Who will take home the "LITTLE MAN"?

For those who are not familiar with the story, the "Little Man" first made his appearance in 1990. Every convention since then it is the tradition to add something to The "Little Man" and donate it back to the auction. 1998 convention winner, Stuart Murphy, came up with a new ax for him replacing the old electric guitar with a lute. 2001 convention winner, Cheryl Erikson (Duchess of Pearl) will be bringing him to this year's convention. Want to know what has been added on? Well, come to the convention and find out! Be the lucky winner and take the "Little Man" home.

Remember it's not too late to donate to the Guild's Auction!

From our 2001 Auction!HEY LUTHIER!
DON'T THROW AWAY THAT LUTHERIE STUFF!
DONATE IT TO THE GUILD'S BENEFIT AUCTION!

We all have it: lutherie clutter. Too good to throw out. Using up valuable shop space for too long. If you could only give it to someone who could really use it. Well, fuss and fret no longer! The good ol' GAL is here to help. Your unused lutherie item may be exactly what someone else has been looking for.

IT'S SO EASY TO DONATE. HERE'S HOW:

1) Locate the item. If it was interesting enough to make you hold onto it for all these years, it will no doubt be interesting to a fellow luthier.

2) Bring the item with you to the Convention, or send it off to:

Guild of American Luthiers
Benefit Auction
c/o Postnet
7911 S. Hosmer, Suite D
Tacoma, WA 98408

3) Get a warm, fuzzy feeling. Experience the thrill of knowing that you were instrumental in making this year's auction a big success. Everyone will see your name listed as the generous donor, at the Convention and in American Lutherie.

4) Get a tax break. All donations are tax deductible. A receipt will be sent to you after the Convention. You specify the value of your donation when deducting it.
