REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration is open. You can register online or mail the printable form.
REGISTRATION OPTIONS
Luthiers, their associates and families, lutherie suppliers, instrument dealers, and all other interested individuals are invited to attend. Everyone must register to attend convention events. Current GAL members pay less for registration, and only members are eligible to exhibit. If you are not a Guild member, we encourage you to join. You must register by the deadline in order to exhibit or to stay on campus. You may register at the door if you just want to attend the convention. The exhibition is open, free to the public, on Saturday, June 14th.
REGISTRATION FEES allow you to attend all convention events: lectures, demonstrations, exhibitions, concerts, etc.
EXHIBITION FEES allow members to exhibit their instruments or lutherie supplies at all exhibition sessions, and includes registration for the exhibitor. Members whose exhibit includes the sale of supplies or services (such as schools) pay the higher supplier exhibition fee. One 6 foot table will be provided for each exhibit; suppliers may purchase up to two additional tables.
GUEST REGISTRATION FEES cover attendance at all events for the nonmember guests of registered participants. Each registered participant is allowed one guest at the lower guest fee; however, if your guests are members of your family the one person limit does not apply.
DORMITORY LODGING AND CAFETERIA MEALS OR JUST LODGING are offered as two packages.
Package 1 includes four nights lodging (Wednesday through Saturday), in either standard or South Hall apartment dorms (double/multi or single occupancy); and three meals a day starting with dinner on Wednesday and ending with breakfast on Sunday. Linens are provided.
Package 2 includes dorm lodging only (no meals) in South Hall, which has suites with kitchens for those who want to cook their own meals. South Hall kitchens have no utensils or microwaves, so you need to bring all your own supplies and utensils.
If you'd like to share a room with another member you must both register at the same time, preferably in the same mailing, or same day online. (Each registrant may pay separately.)
Standard Dorms have two single beds to a room with a bath down the hall. They're on upper campus, close to the action.
South Hall is an apartment-style dorm with separate lockable bedrooms (one single bed in each) that share a kitchen and bath. Some three and four bedroom suites are available. Space is limited in South Hall, so registering early will give you the best chance of getting a room. We reserve rooms on a first-come, first-served basis. PLU will not inform us of the number of rooms available to us in South Hall until early June, so we cannot guarantee your room there until then. Single rooms are scarce, so we encourage you to consider sharing a suite with friends. If we run out of space in South Hall, the only options will be to find singles who are willing to double up, or offer standard dorms. If these options are not acceptable to you, you may want to make reservations elsewhere as a backup. South Hall is on lower campus and is farther walking distance from the center of activity.
Please indicate when you register if you need to be on a lower floor or have other needs. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special assistance should contact us. We will notify PLU and attempt to arrange necessary services.
Meals are served in the campus dining hall, conveniently located in the same building as our exhibition. Meatless options will be available for vegetarians.
Sunday night lodging (no meals) may also be added to your dorm package if desired.
OFF CAMPUS LODGING
If you prefer to stay in a motel, there are many with in a 10 minute drive of PLU, click here to see our hotel list. Check out www.traveltacoma.com for local lodgings (be sure to check a map to make sure you are within the vicinity of PLU). The Hosmer St. hotels are closest to the convention site.
Meal choices for those staying off campus include paying cash on a per-meal basis at the cafeteria, and restaurants within walking and driving distance of the campus.

This will cover registration fees only (not lodging, meals, or travel) and will enable the participant to attend all convention events and exhibit if desired. We hope to assist some younger folks who are studying lutherie or just starting out in the field, as well as others who may have special barriers to overcome.
Those who would like to apply should contact Deb Olsen for more information
HOW TO REGISTER
You can register online (click here) or you can complete the form (select from below) and return with payment (check, money order or credit card). All dorm lodging registrations must be made by the deadlines listed above. No campus lodging registrations will be accepted after the deadlines or at the door. Exhibition table space is limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are not exhibiting and not staying on campus, we still encourage you to register early, as it helps us put on a better convention. If you have missed the deadlines, you may still register at the door to attend (but not to stay on campus or exhibit).
